EVENTS Billingham Show, Old Billingham Carnival & Garden Show, Billingham As a result of the Billingham Show, Old Billingham Carnival & Garden Show 2013, West Road, Billingham will be closed between its junction with the south side of Chapel Road and its junction with the north side of Church Road, from 9:00am on Friday 13 September until 11:59pm on Sunday 15 September 2013. Signed diversions will be provided where possible and pedestrian and emergency access will be maintained. STOCKTON TOWN CENTRE WORKS St Johns Crossing – Riverside / Bridge Road, Stockton Birse Civils LTD are continuing works on a scheme to improve access to Stockton town centre. The works will include two new linked signal-controlled junctions in place of the existing Riverside Road / Bridge Road roundabout, and realignment of Riverside Road to straighten out its connection with 1825 Way. The construction works are expected to be completed in autumn 2013. The majority of the work will take place during the daytime with most traffic management measures in place between 9:30am and 3:30pm. To allow carriageway construction and resurfacing works to be carried out, various overnight road closures / lane restrictions will be in operation during weeknights for the next 2-3 weeks. Monday 9 September – Friday 13 September – Temporary off peak lane restrictions and additional overnight road closures will be in operation at various locations on Churchyard Link Road, A1305 Riverside and Bridge Road / A1305 Bridge Road. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Dovecot Street area As part of the Stockton Town Centre regeneration scheme, works on Dovecot Street between Café Nero and the Storytellers pub near ARC commenced on Tuesday 6 August 2013 for approximately 34 weeks. The following traffic management arrangements will be in place for seven weeks: Dovecot Street – Temporary one way only from Brunswick Street to Prince Regent Street (with access to Prince Regent Street / Nelson Terrace only). The eastern length between Prince Regent Street / Nelson Terrace and the High Street will be closed (except for access for business deliveries/loading) and a "left turn only" will be in operation out of West Row Car Park. Prince Regent Street – Temporary lane restrictions will be in operation in each direction. Signed diversions will be in operation. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. OTHER WORKS A67 Yarm High Street As a result of Lefarge/Tarmac carrying out resurfacing works, temporary traffic signals (Hattons 01388710880) will be in operation on Yarm High Street over five consecutive Sundays in September commencing 1 September 2013. It will also be necessary to temporarily suspend a number of parking bays during this operation. The works will be carried out over 5 main phases: Phase 2 - Sunday 8th will include the Southbound Lane from Bridge Street to The Town Hall. Phase 3 - Sunday 15th will include the Northbound Lane from Bentley Wynd to The Town Hall. Phase 4 - Sunday 22nd will include the Southbound Lane from The Town Hall to Bentley Wynd. Phase 5 - Sunday 29th will be to carry out additional essential carriageway patching on the Yarm Road and The Spital areas coming in and out of the High street. A177 Durham Road, Stockton As the result of Northern Gas Networks carrying out urgent gas main repairs, temporary traffic Signals (Coneworx 01642 625999) are required on A177 Durham Road between Hardwick roundabout and The Horse & Jockey roundabout from Monday 5 August until Friday 13 September 2013, 24hr operation manually controlled at peak times. Thornaby Road / Millbank Lane / Upper Green Lane, Thornaby As a result of Northern Powergrid / Balfour Beatty’s replacing HV electricity cables, a full road closure (Coneworx 01642 625999 / 07703671769) is required on Upper Green Lane between Bassleton Lane and Richardson Road for 4 weeks. A full diversion route will be signed via Green Lane. Waldridge Road, Hardwick As a result of Wearmouth Construction carrying out construction works associated with the Hardwick housing development, a temporary road closure will be in operation on Waldridge Road Monday 2 September 2013 for approximately 10 weeks. A1032 Tees Bridge Approach Road As a result of SBC Direct Services carrying out crash barrier repair works, temporary inside lane closures will be in operation on Tees Bridge Approach Road, northbound near the old incinerator site on Wednesday 11 September and Thursday 12 September 2013, off peak. Ragpath Lane, Stockton As a result of SBC Direct Services carrying out footpath and verge works, temporary Stop / Go boards will be in operation, where required, on Ragpath Lane near the Mile House pub, from Monday 9 September for approximately 10 working days, off peak only. A1027 Yarm Road, Stockton As a result of Highway Maintenance Programme SBC’s Highway Network Management Team and Contractors Lafarge Tarmac carrying out carriageway resurfacing works, temporary lane closures (Hatton’s Traffic Management 01388710880) are required on A1027 Yarm Road dual carriageway, from the A66 interchange to Concorde Way Roundabout, on Monday 2 September until Monday 9 September 2013 overnight 08:00pm until 06:00am. Romsey Road, Stockton As a result of Highway Maintenance Programme SBC’s Highway Network Management Team and Contractors Lafarge Tarmac carrying out carriageway resurfacing works, temporary traffic signals (Hatton’s Traffic Management 01388710880) are required along Romsey Road from Tuesday 10 September until Friday 20 September 2013. Darlington Lane, Stockton As a result of NWL/ Seymour’s carrying out repairs to a damaged manhole frame and cover, temporary traffic signals (01429231313) are required outside 200-206 Darlington Lane from Tuesday 10 September until Thursday 12 September 2013. Darlington Road, Long Newton As a result of Northern Gas networks installing a new gas supply, temporary traffic signals (A Plant 01912364907) are required on o/s Aingarth on Darlington Road from Thursday 12 September until Thursday 19 September 2013.
