ROBBERY SUSPECTS WANTED: Northeast and East Detective Divisions are looking to identify and locate the suspect wanted for multiple robberies. Between June 3, 2014, and August 13, 2014, there were eleven (11) robberies within Northeast and East Divisions in which elderly victims left the bank and were robbed outside their residences. The descriptions of the offender and vehicle are similar. Four of the six videos recovered depicts a silver colored Chevrolet Malibu where three of the videos captured the same male in the banks, prior to the robberies. ***The following six (6) incidents occurred in Northeast Division*** Incident #1: DC#14-02-32960, NEDD #14-7825 On June 3, 2014, at 9:00 am, the complainant, a 72 year-old male, returned from TD Bank located at 2200 Cottman Avenue and was exiting his vehicle on the 6900 block of Leonard Street when he was approached by an unknown black male. After a brief struggle, the suspect took $750 from complainant. The suspect then fled in a silver colored vehicle and was last seen east through the rear alley of 2200 Disston Street and Longshore Avenue. No injuries were reported. Prior to the robbery the suspect was captured standing in line at the TD Bank, behind the complainant. Surveillance video depicts a silver colored Chevrolet Malibu fleeing the area, moments after the robbery. Suspects description: Black male, 40–45 years-of-age, dark brown complected, 6’0″, medium build, short hair, wearing a white t-shirt, and dark jeans. Incident #2: DC#14-07-19046, NEDD #14-9371 On July 1, 2014, at 10:10 am, the complainant, an 86 year-old male, had returned home from cashing a check at the PNC Bank located at 6705 Rising Sun Avenue. The complainant parked in the rear driveway of the 1200 block of Rhawn Street and after exiting his vehicle the suspect punched him in his face then taking his his money. Surveillance video depicts the complainant exiting the bank when a silver colored Chevrolet Malibu appears and the complainant enters his vehicle (off camera). At that time the Chevrolet Malibu turns around and follows the complainant’s vehicle. The surveillance depicts the Chevrolet Malibu following the complainant’s vehicle exiting the TD Bank parking lot at Unruh Avenue traveling west. Suspects description: Black male, muscular build, approximately 6’0”, and short hair. Incident #3: DC#14-02-40487, NEDD #14-9582 On July 5, 2014, at 10:30 am, the complainant, an 80 year-old male, went to a PNC bank located at 2200 Cottman Avenue and a Wells Fargo Bank located at 7300 Bustleton Avenue. When the complainant returned to his residence on the 1000 block of Saint Vincent Street and exited his vehicle an unknown male entered his garage. The suspect then punched the complainant in the chest taking his money. Surveillance video recovered from the interior and exterior of the PNC Bank depicts the suspect entering the bank minutes after the complainant and waits in line behind the complainant. The complainant then exits the bank and walks to the Wells Fargo Bank while the suspect is seen walking in the area of the complainant’s vehicle, which is parked in the Sprint lot located on the 2100 block of Cottman Avenue. The suspect then walks to the lot behind the PNC Bank and enters a Chevrolet Malibu, and then parks directly next to the complainant’s vehicle then walks in the area of Sprint store. Surveillance video depicts the complainant entering his vehicle while the suspect enters his and were last seen exiting the Sprint parking lot at Horrocks Street then turning west onto Cottman Avenue, with the suspect following him in the Chevrolet Malibu. Surveillance video was recovered from the area near the complainant’s home. Surveillance video shows the complainant pulling into his garage and moments later a silver Chevrolet Malibu appears. The offender exits the Chevrolet Malibu, enters the complainant’s garage and robs him. Suspect description: Black male, 45-50 years-of age, 5’7”-5’9”, 180-200 lbs., and operating a gray vehicle. Incident #4: DC#14-15-59186, NEDD #14-9663 On July 7, 2014, the complainant, an 81 year-old male, was returning from the Citizens Bank located at 6271 Frankford Avenue and arrived at his residence on the 3400 block of Tyson Avenue. After pulling his vehicle into his rear driveway and exiting his vehicle an unknown male approached him from behind. The suspect then pushed the complainant against his vehicle taking his money then fled. Surveillance video was recovered from the interior and exterior of Citizens Bank. The video shows a silver colored Chevrolet Malibu entering the parking lot as the complainant is entering his vehicle. The Malibu pulls into a parking spot but quickly backs out as the complainant is exiting the lot and was last seen north on Frankford Avenue. Suspect description: Black male, 25-35 years-of-age, 6’0”, 200 lbs. Incident #5: DC #14-08-027537, NEDD #14-10390 On July 21, 2014, the complainant, an 81 year-old male, went to a Wells Fargo Bank located at 6420 Frankford Avenue and withdrew $1,000. The complainant placed his money in the center console of his vehicle then drove to the Philadelphia Federal Credit Union located at 8025 Roosevelt Boulevard to deposit checks. When the complainant entered his vehicle and parked in the Gallo’s Seafood Lot located at 2700 Stanwood Street to wait for an order that he had placed. While seated in his vehicle, an unknown male opened the complainant’s passenger door taking the money from the complainant’s center console then fled on foot and was last seen toward Holme Avenue. Suspect description: Black male, 30-35 years-of-age, large build, wearing a white t-shirt. Incident #6: DC #14-02-0-048994, NEDD #14-11424 On August 13, 2014, at 10:00 am, the complainant, an 83 year-old female, along with her husband, an 87 year-old male, went to the PNC Bank located at 2200 Cottman Avenue then walked east on Cottman Avenue and stopped at the Sunoco Store located at 7265 Castor Avenue. When they went to the rear of their residence on the 7200 block of Rutland Street a white colored vehicle stopped, and an unknown black male exited the vehicle knocking both complainants to the ground from behind. The suspect then took the female victim’s handbag which contained $300, identification, keys, and personal items. The suspect then entered his vehicle and fled the area and was last seen north toward Cottman Avenue. The female complainant sustained a minor injury to her left wrist and knee. Suspect description: Black male, 6’0”, tall with a stocky build. ***The following five (5) incidents occurred in East Division*** Incident #1: DC#14-26-017504 EDD #14-03985 On Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 1:30 pm, the complainant, a 96 year-old male, returned from grocery shopping and drove into his garage located on the 2100 block Bergess Street and observed a white Nissan Murano 4-door, unknown tag, driven by an unknown male pass by him and park. When the offender approached the complainant he asked the complainant if his garage for was for rent. When the complainant told the suspect no the suspect walked away. A short time later, as the complainant was getting ready to close the overhead door of his garage, the suspect entered the garage and began to punch the complainant several times in his mouth knocking him to the floor. After ripping the complainant’s shirt he removed $100 from his pocket. The suspect then walked to his vehicle then fled and was last seen towards Trenton Avenue. The complainant suffered minor injuries to his mouth and bruising to his left ear. Suspect description: Black male, 50 years-of-age, 5’9”, heavy build, mustache, wearing a brown baseball cap, black shirt, and black jeans. Vehicle Description: Unknown year, Nissan Murano, possible 4-door, white in color, unknown tag. Incident #2: DC#14-26-021504 EDD #14-04874 On May 16,2014, at 12:06 am, the complainant, a 44 year-old male, was walking on the 1000 block of North Leithgow Street and was attempting to enter his residence when a unknown male approached him from behind and struck the complainant with a plastic bag with a large size rock inside in the back of his head. The suspect then went into the complainant’s pockets taking his wallet, containing identification, $55, and his iPhone. The complainant was transported to Hahnemann hospital where he was listed in stable condition with a severe head wound. Suspect Description: Black male, 40 years-of-age, 5’9”, slim to medium build, beard with no mustache, dark complected, wearing a black jacket, jeans. Incident #3: DC #14-26-024863 EDD #14-5585 On June 2, 2014, at 9:24 am, the complainant, an 87 year-old male, was parking his vehicle in front of his residence on the 1000 block of North 11th Street when he observed the an unknown male walking on foot in front of his vehicle. The suspect then passing by his driver side and continued walking down the street turned around and looked at him. When the complainant exited his vehicle he suddenly felt someone grab his envelope containing $496 from his back pocket. The suspect then continued walking and was last seen toward 300 West Wildey Street. Suspect Description: Black male, 30 years-of-age, 6’0″, heavy build, clean shaven, close cut hair, wearing a white long sleeve shirt with blue designs, and blue jeans. Incident #4: DC#14-26-031214 EDD #14-06728 On Monday, June 30, 2014, at 10:54 am, the complainant, a 91 year-old male, was walking home from the Wells Fargo Bank located at Frankford and Girard Avenue after withdrawing $623. As the complainant was in front of his residence on the 13 block of West Wildey Street an unknown black male approached him from behind and grabbed his arms going through his pockets taking his money. The suspect then fled and was last seen north on Dunton Street from Wildey Street. The complainant was transported to Hahnemann Hospital where he was treated for injuries to both arms as a result from being thrown to the ground. Suspect Description: Black Male, late 40 years-of-age, gray hair, scruffy face, heavy build, 240 lbs., wearing a blue polo shirt, and gray/brown cargo pants. Incident #6: DC #14-24-067666 EDD #14-8299 On August 6, 2014, at 12:45 pm, the complainant, an 82 year-old male, left the Wells Fargo Bank at 3400 Aramingo Avenue and entered a Septa Bus at Clearfield Street and Aramingo Avenue. When the complainant exited the bus at Clearfield Street and Tulip Street he started walking toward 3000 Tulip Street. While on Tulip Street an unknown male aproached him from behind and sprayed him with mace on the right side of his face then punched him with a closed fist causing him to fall to the ground. While complainant was on the ground, the suspect went into the complainant’s pocket removing a Wells Fargo Bank envelope containing $600. The suspect then fled on foot from the 3000 block of Tulip Street and was last seen toward Kensington Avenue. If you see this suspect do not approach him, contact 911 immediately.
