ROTD#2 (Reflection of the Day) (1/2/15) THERE IS NO SINGLE - TopicsExpress

ROTD#2 (Reflection of the Day) (1/2/15) THERE IS NO SINGLE REALITY... There are many versions of realities- all are valid and real but not quite the same. One reality is that which is the truth; the rest are perceptions, interpretations and appreciations that make one reality valid from a different point of view depending on perspective. Philosophy as academicians will call it, but in simplier term is called perspective...point of view! Reality therefore depends on how it is perceived, interpreted and appreciated. The Reality may be a part of the truth but not necessarily the whole truth. It is similar to the five blind men holding different parts of the elephant and asked about what is an elephant. Every answer of each of the blind is correct based on the part which a blind holds. The part is not the elephant though. If a tree fell in the forest and noone heard it, was there a sound? Yes! There was a sound but since noone heard it, there is no sound! And what use is the sound if noone heard it. It was just vibration which only if perceived becomes a sound. Lesson? We should NOT impose our perceived reality to others! If we do, it will be an endless debate of who is right, when in fact both are correct. We have to respect these perceived realities as we respect perspectives and individuals inherent right and freedom to choose. Noone can take that away from a person. Sometimes, some religion are becoming judgmental to consider as everything inconsistent with what they believe in as wrong. Certainly, there IS God. But the practice of faith is a right and such doesnt have to make everyone else inconsistent of it as wrong. Even those who do not believe in God have their own reality that wont change the truth of what the rest believes in. My reality is not subject to someone elses reality. If i learn to respect the differences and assert the respect that i deserve of my own belief, this will be a better world where diversity does not divide but enriches one another. Live and let live. Believe and let others believe what they rightfully may choose to believe. Peace! (ROTD is my 2015 advocacy to post thoughts that will challenge mindsets as inspired by my day experience. Feel free to comment provided that we respect ideas and free exchanges. Reminder, this is still my wall and this is my right)
