RU grad and fans perspective on #27: (if anyone cares to read) It would be hard to find a bigger fan of the Rutgers University football program. While I dont always agree with the actions of the administration,or the university itself, I love Rutgers and truly enjoy seeing its graduates both athletes and non athletes, succeed in life off the ol banks. That being said, heres what really matters. Any man who raises his hand (or fist in this case) in anger towards any woman, child, weaker man or animal is a coward on an almost unthinkable level. If you are so weak mentally that you are incapable of thinking out and seeing the solution to what is essentially your problem, if the option to walk away alludes your thought process, if seeking help for your anger scares you, then you are (first and foremost) a failure as a son to your parents and a failure as a man to those you love you or call you friend. Least importantly this makes you UNEMPLOYABLE TO ANYONE WHO VALUES MORALS IN THEIR BUSINESS. A suspension? Are you kidding? If these guys are not stable enough to not endanger the well being of others then they do not deserve to be idolized by anyone. The NFL can do whatever it wants to in this situation. It can say this is not alright. Impose a ban until a Psychologist says they are cleared and wont kill anyone. Or issue a suspension and let them return without treatment. One option addresses the issue, protects women and presents a viable long term solution. The other condones abuse and gets their main attractions back on the field as fast as possible since profits are really all that matter.
