Race3Chase Triathlon is over. What an incredible event. These are the only photos I took with my phone (Bill Navas took some great ones with the camera, which Ill post). We had close to 100 athletes ages 5-13 from 3 different YMCAs. Every athlete finished, no small feat as I believe this to be the toughest youth tri there is. This may be my 5th year doing this but each year is like the first- in terms of the joy & pride I feel when I watch these kids do their best, support their fellow athletes, and their fans watch them with tears on their cheeks. Racing 4 Chase brought a whole new element of meaning & purpose to the program & race, and I felt that strength & love in full force out there today. Special thanks to all of you who made this a priority and came out to volunteer today. You guys are AWESOME. Oh, and special thanks to God for stopping the rain just in time :)
