Racism is always there for those who keep searching for it. - TopicsExpress

Racism is always there for those who keep searching for it. Granted, it still is a problem in this country but certainly is not the major problem and, despite what the Al Sharptons of the world would have you believe, it has improved drastically through the years. I was just reading that Michelle Obama believed a lady in Target was being racist when she asked Michelle to reach something off the top shelf. Is it possible that she asked Michelle for the favor not because she was black but because she was taller? On several occasions in United and elsewhere--heck, maybe in Target--I have been asked by a length-challenged person to please reach an item. The country has become so PC-conscious that nothing can be accepted for its face value anymore. It still is OK to accept people for how they behave, not how they believe. A jerk is a jerk no matter his faith or his color. Fortunately for us all, there are more good people than bad and, as the great MLK once said, should be judged by the quality of their character and not the color of their skin. And that formula should work both ways.
