Raghu’s Review of Raja & Rani Cast: John, Regina, Surya & - TopicsExpress

Raghu’s Review of Raja & Rani Cast: John, Regina, Surya & Keerthana (I forgot the actor/actress original name as they have lived these characters in this movie) Film opens up with John & Regina marriage sequence and travels along with the post married life of the couple. Without any interaction for several days the duo keep fighting for all the small things (something all the newly married couple would relate to). Things change when Regina was admitted in hospital and John could not even remember her name at the time of admission. There unfolds a beautiful cute love story of Regina of her past with Surya who steal the show for the first half of the movie. Power pack performance by Jai as Surya and any girl will fall for this innocent character (guys to watch out for). When you lay back and feel the essence of beautiful love story in first half during the intermission, the second half will break you out as the duo of Boss Engira Baskaran (Santhanam & Arya) tickle your funny bones and make you laugh loud out. Another cute love story of Arya and Nazriya unfolds and every scene is a treat to watch. Will the newly married couple leave their past love story behind and get along with each other(?) is the climax of the movie (watch out for unexpected twist in the climax). Arya as John, Nayanthara as Regina, Jai as Surya and Nazriya as Keerthana truly lived their characters in this movie. Three different story revolves around these 4 main characters of the movie which is beautifully cinematographed. Sathyan, played a comedian par character role in first half of the movie but credit should go to Jai for taking complete responsibility on his shoulders to keep the scene lively and energetic. Santhanam, lived up to his name of Comedy Super Star. Every scene in second half will make you laugh out loud. Sathyaraj, dream dad for all the modern girls. Men who have daughters will transform themselves to become like one portrayed in the movie. He get mesmerized when his daughter offer him a beer to get things done from him is the highlight of the relationship of dad and daughter in this movie (outclassed the Abhiyum Naanum dad and daughter relationship). Raghu’s Punch: This movie has got everything in it. Love, Romance, Quarrel, Friendship, Comedy, Emotion, Sentiment, Relationship, Songs etc. True value for money for its thorough entertainment. Verdict: Surely, Tamil Block Buster movie of the year 2013. On 5 Rating scale: 4.5
