Ran the Beach2Beacon 10K this morning. The weather was overcast and a bit humid, which made it more challenging. Its a gorgeous course, and there isnt one bit of the road that doesnt have crowds enthusiastically cheering us all on. The crowds are the best of any race I have ever been at. My only goal for this race was to better my time from last year. I was successful with a 2 min 6 sec PR. I will take that! Again credit goes to my Coach Caleb Masland who is getting me where I want to be as a runner. Looking forward to doing this race for many more years to come! I got to hang out with some friends which made it all the more fun! Even got to see my old boss from 1983-86, whom I havent seen basically since then?! Dennis Labbe it was great sharing your first road race experience.. I hope to see you back out there at a lot more races! Keisha Hartt-Donovan , you rocked it! Was great to hang out again! We need to do it more often! Jennifer Boudreau you continue to inspire me in many ways... its always a pleasure meeting up with you at races! And I must mention... Rob was on the media team for Maine Running Photos and I told him to be sure to get pictures of Meb as he went by. Yeh... and then he showed me this! Grrrrrrr!!! ;)
