Randy Update: It is with a very heavy heart that I have to tell you that Randy is very sick. I got his lab results back and they arent good. His minor issues are that he has a bad urinary tract infection (very painful and god only knows how long hes had it) and he has a parasite called giardia (one of the worst parasites he can have in his intestinal tract). Both can be dealt with but unfortunately for Randy, they should have been addressed a long time ago. The really bad news is what I was fearing would be his result. He has advanced diabetes. So bad that his has reached the ketoacidosis stage which is really hard to recover from. Tomorrow evening Andrea Lawent and I will be bringing Randy to another vet to get a second opinion for possible treatment. Please say a prayer for Randy that there is something that can be done help him. Its clear that hes had a really shitty life and I want him to have at least a little bit of time with love and comfort. Many tears today. Im trying my very best to help Randy. I really hope I can.
