Rant for the day. If I offend people by what I am about to say I am sorry but I am so tired of people complaining about the cancellation and delays for school. If you were a bus driver then you would understand. I drive bus and let me tell you I want my kids that I drive to school to be safe. I pick kids up on South Mountain and Blue Ridge Summit and the roads get pretty nasty and I dont want to be put in an unsafe situation. I am glad that they look out for the kids. I remember having to ride the bus in the snow and chains on the bus and it wasnt fun. If something would happen then the parents would want to sue or complain about them sending the kids to school. So be happy thay they are safe at home. Trust me we dont want to go longer in the summer but we do want to be safe. Also just because there is no snow off the mountain does not mean there is no snow on the mountain. Think about the kids. Kudos to the bus contractors and schools for thinking about the safety of your kids. Ok rant over.
