Raphael Wane Nkhata On this World Press Freedom Day 3rd May 2014, I remember a former Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Permanent Secretary who in my eyes seemed to respect and champion Press Freedom. Emmanuel Mwamba gave private media houses national coverage which were later revoked after he was fired. Mwamba almost removed petty politics from the public broadcaster to concentrate on developmental and government business coverage which was a step in the right direction. Mwamba took giant strides in the right dierction and a country were media freedom goes in the wrong direction. As long as government or political interference is at play forget about media freedom. I salute Hamasaka, Pondamali and zgambo naba Chanda Chiimba babutatu. Keep championing for the right causes. God bless.
