Ras Tafari,the Rasta God! God is a Deification of an Individual.-Elder Ras Sam Brown. Hayle Sellasse I never said anyone should worship Him,neither do he demand our prayers nor does he need them. The act of Hayle Sellasse I is a pure voluntary act and an individual choice hence the Rastafari Philosophy declare who feels it knows it. Rastafari is not a Religion but a Livity with an idea of Divinity of Hayle Sellasse I in the centre. Rastafari dont convert or confuse because Rastafari is a Spirituality not a Religion.Its a dual identity one share with His Majesty Hayle Sellasse I by virtue of being called by his name and calling upon his name. Now threatening people with Lightning and Thunder and Hell and Heaven is not a Rastafari fundamental principle but a Judeo-Christian mindset functioning within Rastafari in the name of Rastafari. Hence you hear many of this Christians in Rastafari articulation of Rastafari is one of Fear Religion and threatening those who dont agree with them with some supernatural consequences. And other ones dare tell you that you are using the name of His Majesty as if they have an Old Testament Divine Authority to accuse others of calling the name of Jehovah in vain as if Rastafari is a Jehovah Religion. Rastafari is a Consciousness,the condition of Self Knowing which ultimately lead to Self Realization. The fact that Rastafari lead Ourselves to Self Realization as Afrikans and not Israel,Christian or Zionists is an expected condition of this Rastafari Consciousness. The Movement is centred around Hayle Sellasse I because without him there will be no Rastafari Movement,no Empress Menen Crowned to confuse and inspire psuedo-feminism among misguided Rastawomen or women claiming Rastafari Livity with deep hatred of the Movement at the same time. Rastafari is a voluntary choice which you choose to be or not and are not forced to the point of questioning the foundation of this Movement which is Hayle Sellasse I primacy.
