Re-watched Robotech: The New Generation and now Im bummed out. The last time I watched Robotech, I was a kid and it was just some cartoon where people fought aliens and both sides took casualties, lost families, their homes, etc, and so on. In other words, unlike GI Joe which made war look like the winner was whoever destroyed the other sides toys, and no one ever died, Robotech brought a little reality into the mix. But one line in the final episode, that I just didnt really pay attention to as a kid, but a hit a nerve tonight, was about how humankind destroys what it cant understand, and how we even destroy our own... Ah, but Depeche Mode have that one popular song that asks why humankind is the way it is.. I cant understand..what makes a man hate another man. Help me understand No one in the song helped Dave understand... just like the Invid couldnt figure it out in Robotech. But speaking of songs, one of the characters in Robotech, who happens to be a singer, reminds me of Buck Tick... youtu.be/X9lrgSb4edc?t=16s
