Reaching the World for Christ by Gary Hulin We are certainly suppose to reach the world with the Gospel of the Saving Grace of Jesus Christ. It is often referred to as the Great Commission: And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature ( Mark 16:15). However, caution should be noted that that does not mean (as some churches have asserted) that the Gospel of Jesus Christ must be preached to the world SO THAT JESUS CAN COME BACK or BEFORE HE CAN COME BACK. These two statement are in error because it indicates that Gods Plan of Salvation will be brought to the world by MEN with their good works. It is true that we are to take the saving Grace of the Gospel to the world prior to the RAPTURE. After the Rapture of the Bride of Christ, we will then be with Christ when he deals with the Tribulation here on earth. The 144,000 witnesses and the 2 prophets will minister the gospel to those who will come to accept Jesus as Savior DURING THE TRIBULATION. Their mission will be to evangelize the post-rapture world and proclaim the gospel during the tribulation period. As a result of their ministry, millions—“a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language” (Revelation 7:9)—will come to faith in Christ,during the Tribulation. But God is calling us to come ...NOW... that we might avoid the things that will come on the earth during the Tribulation. As a result of the ministry of the 144,000 witnesses and the 2 Tribulation prophets, millions—“a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language” (Revelation 7:9)—will come to faith in Christ. Also, For as a snare shall it ( these days, this time of great trial) come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Verse 36, Watch you therefore, and pray always, that you many be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. - Luke 21:35-36 The point of the message is that we are told to avoid the Tribulation on earth by accepting Christ now, prior to the rapture! If we were to accept Christ in the Tribulation one will likely be beheaded for the cause of Christ. Because you have kept the word of my patience (waiting upon the Lord in obedience and faith), I also will keep you from the hour of temptation (trial of testing during great adversity, or Tribulation), which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. - Revelation 3:10
