Read Psalm 103:11-12 Nature cannot forgive, People sometimes forgive, but God always forgives! This saying comes to mind when I read this psalm regarding God’s compassion towards the children of Israel. Because of the saving work of our Lord Jesus Christ, remembered during this Lenten season, God totally separates the guilt of our sin from us. He declares us innocent! People forgive imperfectly, but God forgives perfectly! Forgiveness has always been one of my struggles on my Christian journey. Sometimes, I am tempted to blame my sharp memory. I can remember incidents from years ago, as if they had happened yesterday. Then I read this passage, and realize that God forgives perfectly, and He is omniscient. I realize forgiveness is a choice one makes, through the work of the Holy Spirit. “Lord, thank You for Your perfect forgiveness. I praise You for separating our sin from us so completely, I cannot humanly comprehend it. Continue to work in my life through Your Holy Spirit, that I may forgive as well.
