Read [bit.ly/Ueite0] to find out more - The MediShield Life Review Committee has outlined its recommendations on the benefits of the universal public health insurance scheme that aims to provide all Singaporeans better protection against large medical bills. Some of these include: • Remove the lifetime claim limit of $300,000 • Increase the daily claim limits for normal wards and ICU wards • Increase the claim limits for surgical procedures • Substantially increase the claim limits for outpatient cancer chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments, to better cover the cost of subsidised cancer treatment To help Singaporeans with their MediShield Life premiums, the Government will provide premium subsidies and financial assistance for lower to middle income households, transitional subsidies over four years for all Singapore citizens and support for the Pioneer Generation.
