Though it’s a two-door coupe, it satisfies the big-engine niche that Falcon currently holds. An interesting development is that Ford will also bring a 4-cylinder turbo variant to Australia. Developed for the European market (where a 2L engine is considered big), the 4-cylinder will be no slouch – it currently puts out a huge 227 kilowatts. The top-of-the-line Ford Mustang Shelby 500 GT, in the United States, has a 5.8L supercharged V8, which puts out a staggering 493kW/855Nm – that’s more than current V8 touring cars are allowed.
