Read this in a business article on being more efficent: Diseconomies of scale occur primarily because of the increasing bureaucracy associated with large-scale enterprises and the managerial inefficiencies that can result. Larger enterprises have a tendency to develop extensive managerial hierarchies in which dysfunctional political behavior is commonplace, information about operating matters is accidentally and deliberately distorted by the number of managerial layers through which it has to travel to reach top decision makers, and poor decisions are the result. This is one of many reasons why big bloated big government and socialism dont work. Why cant the left figure this out?
