Reading the Old Testament sounds like our present day chaos many times. Habakkuk was about to go out of his mind with it all! He questioned God about justice in the land. Corruption was rampant, strife and contention, and then theres the total depravity of the violence! God lets him rant and then says, Look among the nations and watch. Be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days which you would not believe, though it were told you. (1:5). What? Didnt God hear him? Even amidst all that we see happening, God is still in control. He is taken off-guard and gives us assurance to pray, vote, then Be Calm and Be Astounded!
