Real Recognize Real! Lebron James (arguably one of the greatest basketball players on earth) has recently said that Allen Iverson is pound for pound the greatest player ever. Now before all of you BASIC basketball fans go crazy with all of your memorized and rehearsed Wilt/Jordan/Kobe numbers and award arguments, lets take a moment to reflect what King James said. Bron-Bron said pound for pound and means Iversons actual weight. A.I. Was listed at 60 and give or take 160-165lbs. Take it further, Iverson never out-sized or out-muscled anybody, when A.I. Went out to drop 30-40pts. He did it out of sheer will! Yes, there are exactly 248 players under 60 to play in the NBA (for those of the non-basic basketball fans still with me) but, only 41 have played at least 500 career games. Iverson doubled that with 941 career games. Of those 248 NBA midgets, Iverson is the only player to average 20+ points per game for his career. (Which his average is 26.7) Iverson is the shortest player in NBA history to score 20,000 career points, (he scored 24, 368) and I will end it with this little fun fact, Jordan weighed 216lbs. and finished his career with 32,292 points, so thats 149.5 points per lb. Iverson finished his career with 24,368 points, which is 147.7 points per lb. With all that being said... Can my man get the respect he deserves as a player AND League MVP
