Realized I didnt update everyone on what happened with our trip. Left Anguilla early Friday morning to catch our flight from Sint Maarten to PHL and on to PHX. We caught the ferry and arrived at the airport around ten and discovered that our flight to PHL had canceled. It was clear we were stuck. I called an audible and got us a good rate at the only all-inclusive resort on the island decided we would make the best of it. A little pricey but we knew we would have three meals covered for the three of us, didnt need to worry about transportation, drinks were free, and it was on the beach I wanted to go to anyway. Seemed like it was meant to be. Worked out so well, we stayed a second night as well. Got home by the skin of our teeth last night and quite honestly, we should not have made that. We were seriously late arriving into CLT, spent an hour in customs, ran to our gate even though the plane should have left 30 minutes earlier and it was still there. They gave us an entire center row (widebody) and we made it home by midnight last night. Bummed I missed Luke Days but I suppose I got my own little airshow on Maho. After all that debacle, I cant wait to go back.
