Really pleased to report that Charlie ( my severely autistic son ) managed a second swim this Sunday! 2 carers took him to the beach Saturday , but he did not want to swim. Sunday I was by myself with Charlie and the girls as Tony was working, so played it safe and went round Mum and Dads. They have a pool which Charlie has refused to use for the last 2 yrs, despite previously loving it and still being fascinated by it. It took longer than the beach (1-2hrs) of letting him play around the pool....bribing him with sinky toys ( see video) .....refusing to get them out for him.....and constant persuasion ( but not too forceful) from us, his sisters and his grand parents! Tony got back from work to join in about 8 pm ! 3 short (1min) videos, but I cant work out how to get them in the same post?? ( so posting next 2 separately) Thanks for all your support last week ...we are definitely going to keep him swimming, once hes in , he loves it!
