Really sad and the media and corporations is also promoting this self hate. Our ungovernable hair we cut off or get false extensions, we shave our piece piece beard we shave because it does not follow a pattern, we send our children to schools to get another identity and are apologetic when they do not conform with the militaristic former white schools, the role players on tv assume other identities, etc. The result is that they lose their roots and anchoring in life. Then we wonder why there is an increase in dilinquency, lost youth, substance abuse, suicide, etc. When you no longer feel comfortable in your own skin, and aspire to be someone else, wanting the life of someone else, wanting to posses the stuff that other people have, then there are problems. Teach our children pride in where they come from warts and all, and we can diminish self hate and destroy all the ills associated with self hate.
