Reasons being lazy is a lot of work. 1. Being lazy is a state of mine, not really an action. Doing nothing is the action, the ultimate goal of laziness is to get to a point where you can do nothing and worry about nothing. 2. This point (from here on referred to as “Euphoria”) doesn’t just happen, the lazy person must set up the circumstances so that this point can actually come into being. 3. Laziness is a constant mind battle with yourself and your logic. Which path is the quickest to get back home so I can watch house and eat Doritos? What amount of time do I realistically need to finish this assignment? How can I do this? What resources can I use to get out of doing most of this? (I.E. Have I done another project/essay that I could use with a bit of tweaking?) 4. In the game of laziness the little things count. “Stop and talk, we’ll only be here 5 minutes.” Yeah well an episode of House is 43 minutes long on average, I have to leave to go to work in 50 minutes, so this conversation is putting my ability to lazily watch house in danger. 5. The lazy population is misunderstood. The lazy community tends to be some of the smarter people. In the words of Bill Gates “I choose a lazy person to do a hard job. Because a lazy person will find an easy way to do it.” We’re clever and inventive with our laziness, sometimes to the point of doing more work than was originally required. The lazy man is inherently creative, and due to this prone to inspiration from his lazy ongoing.
