Rebellion as a means to achieve the ends A critique on MNLF cause...Rebellion is the refusal to accept authority. Those who participate in rebellions are known as rebels.I mostly disagree that with the use of violence as a means to an ends, I find that the idea of rebellions are needed to achieve a more perfect union has been proven true time and time again. I find it a little disheartening and sad that we had to fight the war at the cost of hundreds of lives just to get the point across that human beings should be treated as human beings and yes it is easy to sit in the backseat and comment on the event . As what George Orwell said To see what is infront of onenose needs a constant struggle.The most important thing about rebellion is to consistently and honestly question yourself about your ideals . Zamboanga is a highly urbanized, independent and a chartered city located in Mindanao, Philippines. It is currently ranked as the sixth most populous city. It is now the center of economic activities in Mindanao. For the past days, it has been more or less shut down by a confrontation between the army and a group of insurgents from MNLF. So why did Misuari followers land in Zamboanga , heavily armed and then take over several barangay of the city. For their part, the MNLF gunmen in Zamboanga have said they are fighting for an independent state, not the autonomy the government is negotiating with the larger MILF insurgent group. The Philippine Military still believe Nur Misuari is responsible ,and the authorities are considering laying criminal charges against him, although his exact whereabout are unknown. Government officials have made it clear that they no longer regard NUR Misuari as a negotiating partner.Excluding him altogether may prove counterproductive.Without rebellion, without conflict -LASTING PEACE seems within our reach. Rebellion is the worst event that zamboanga ever had.
