Recently, I saw a chart that rated certain sports on a difficulty level. Personally, I agreed and disagreed with some of these, but thats such a subjective ranking anyway...What is difficult for Bob, may be simple for Lisa. And this is true for all activities and lifestyles. Consider this: I choose to live out my days training and competing in mixed martial arts. I LOVE it. I also find that it is out of this world draining, mentally and physically. You CANNOT do what I do, if you arent up for a constant challenge that will make you sometimes regret your existence. It will defeat you over and over...my girlfriend, Ashley Williams, is a full time mother, full time student in OT school, and a full time bartender at an extremely demanding restaurant... Could I be a full time father, bartender, and OT student and live with such grace and success as she does? Maybe? Probably not! What is easier for Ashley, may be difficult for Matt. That being said, who is to say that their life is harder than another? You think Im crazy, I think Im blessed. I think youre cursed, you think youre right where you belong. I guess what Im trying to say is, your struggle, though much different than the next persons, is a struggle nonetheless. You must be proud of the work you choose to do. You must embrace the fact that what you are inherently good at, is exactly where you are supposed to be. For those officers, firefighters, roofers, secretaries, air traffic controllers, physical therapists, state workers, cashiers, chiropractors, factory workers, hard laborers, accountants, doctors, Occupational Therapists, teachers of any kind: you say I am nuts, I say, keep grinding. Your struggle is one I choose not to endure, and Id never suggest that what I do is more difficult than what you do. Youre all beasts in your own right! Live with humility, emotion, consideration, and an open mind. Mangler
