Rediscovering China’s Jewel: The Lion City The murky - TopicsExpress

Rediscovering China’s Jewel: The Lion City The murky depths withdraw our deepest fantasies. Legends and lore that have slipped into the abyss are just now being pulled from their aquatic tomb. Rediscovery reminds us of just how little we know, we are humbled every time a legend is verified. Comparable to the discovery of Machu Picchu, the Ancient city of Lion city was named after the Enormous Five Lion mountain that loomed behind it. It was built roughly 1,500 years ago, and is now located 85-131 feet beneath the gorgeous Thousand Island Lake (Qiandao Lake) and it spans over 62 football fields. These ruins are sublime. This is the same submerged city I posted yesterday, Scuba anyone?
