Registrar (Executive) letter No. 8906 dated 25.08.2014 in which the seniority of non-teaching staff is being counted from the date of probation/confirmation and temporary service will not be counted for the purpose of Seniority. This is for your kind information that non-teaching staff (i.e. LDC/UDC/Asstt etc) have been working on temporary basis from the last several years but the General Selection Committee/Departmental Promotion Committee/Screening Committee are not being held so that the staff are unnecessarily demoralised. It is therefore, requested that the General Selection Committee/Departmental Promotion Committee/Screening Committee for non-teaching posts may please be arranged in time as and when staff are eligible for confirmation/promotion as per Office Memo No. / (c ) 1673 dated 27.12.2001 (Copy enclosed) and their seniority may also be counted from the date of their first continuous adhoc appointment as the practice adopted for the persons appointed on compassionate ground, depriving seniority to the adhoc/temporary appointees as it is against the principle of equality therefore it may modified and Old Executive Council resolution of 1972 may be restored.
