Regarding The Aaron Davis Incident With LULAC Council # 1, I have been pretty much silent because as a member of this organization I know that its mission is not to discriminate against anyone...LULAC does fight for those who are discriminated against...however, that is not the issue in this particular situation. One person, Olivia Barrera, tried to impose her biased opinion.and for the president of the council, Dr. Nick Adame, to ask me to compromise on this issue for the sake and good of the council(his words) was unacceptable to me. But, it is amazing to me that he would now go onto a local news channel and say that he never spoke to me or for the council to issue a statement that I was a confused third party is an outright lie. I will be posting the account of events, as per the press release that I sent out to all media outlets, of the actual debate and attempt to get me to compromise in accepting that Aaron Davis could judge with the stipulation that he dress normal (Olivia Barreras words). I want to assure the Corpus Christi LGBT community that the opinion of Olivia Barrera is not that of most members of Council #1...Besides myself, there is another gay member and many of the members are gay-friendly...so watch out for my posts as the truth of the story unfolds...believe me, I do not enjoy having to expose my council to public scrutiny, but, when you publicly call me a liar...you leave me no choice.
