Regarding recent events in the Bradford area, I am greatly disappointed and not impressed with the local news coverage by any of the reporters, be it radio, website, or newspaper. Two specific stories are unfortunate and extremely painful for the involved families. Instead of reporting factual news properly at appropriate times, it seems these platforms have chosen to expel just enough information about the ongoing investigations to invite gossip, rumors, and malicious, spiteful comments on social media. This is not what professional news coverage should do, in my opinion, and I am so sorry for the families who have to hear and read the countless, ignorant comments of people who dont know the facts, like to invent stories, and stir up gossip. I know these have been historical events in our small city/big town of Bradford, but I have been appalled at the lack of class displayed. Our personal opinions, suspicions, or inside information does not need to become common knowledge and adds hurt upon hurt. Please forgive me for speaking out in this, but enough is enough. I extend my personal sympathy to the affected families, and will be praying for community unity and responsibility to diffusing emotions, and wisdom on disclosing facts about these and future cases.
