Registration Closed The Virginia Children’s Engineering Council wishes to extend special thanks for the educators from across the Commonwealth and nationally that have registered for the 2015 convention. As a result of your support, the convention registration has exceeded the goal of 600 participants. In the weeks ahead the Council will finalize plans to ensure that the convention provides design, engineering, and technology experiences that feature best educational practices. These convention features will focus on strategies that enable children to: explore how people create, use, and control technology apply knowledge in mathematics, science, English, and history and social sciences in solving problems associated with design, engineering and technology; and use tools and materials to develop technological literacy and self-confidence. If you were unable to register for this year’s convention, please mark your calendar for the 2016 convention which will be held at the Hotel Roanoke, Roanoke, VA, March 3-4, 2016.
