Rejecting the Torah (first five books of the bible) rejects the possibility to know Gods character. Interestingly enough, Jesus confirms this in Matthew 7. “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ (Matthew 7:21-23 ESV) The word translated as lawlessness is ανομία [a-na-mi-uh]. This word ανομία is given to those who refuse to subjugate themselves to the superiority and authority of God. Moreover, they are rejected entrance into the kingdom. This is because God NEVER knows [Gk. γινωσκω] you if you reject His word that reveals His character. So please, by all means, engage in study of God Torah; learn His character. For this is the only way to truly know and experience Him for all that He is. - Brother Joshua
