Our darling protagonists Were not short of an exception, For they too swirled In the whirlpool of perfection. In each others presence They found comforting bliss, And no sooner theyd part, On their love theyd reminisce. Neither she nor he Had ever felt like this before; There werent enough Hours in the day anymore. The nights were lonely now, An endless yearning in wait; Even sleep turned bashful, Such were things as of late. The strangers of yesterday Now closer than their own, The marvel of love how So soon it had grown. Her laughter, her smiles, Her mesmerising stories, The squint in her eyes, These days were his glories. Innocence adorned her And she was full of grace, He forgot about his books As he would study her face. He longed to touch her, Wrap her tightly in his arms, He craved for the day Of the meeting of their palms. Yet neither lust nor desire Satan could conjure inside, They repelled his whispers No matter how hard he tried. For this was a union of Souls who met an age ago, And the Lord had written For them a love of glow. Her heart was content, She had met her soul mate, There was no going back, They were locked by fate. The besotted couple vowed, To their parents theyd declare, And in holy matrimony, An evergreen love theyd share.
