Remember just a couple months ago how I posted that I had 365 friends, 1 for every day of the year? Well, today, Im up to 400. God has really got me out there meeting the people. Not bad for someone whos only been out that wheelchair for a year and one month. Shoot, I didnt give up my cane until mid April... 6 months ago. A friend of mine said that God made me better for a reason. I am not quite sure why, but I am just going, meeting, loving, and praying for the people. Gods got His plans and I dont need to understand them, I just need to do what I feel led to do. Never would have chosen this way, thats why I KNOW its God. My daughters friend, who knew me even before I spent that 10 years in a wheelchair, even said the other day, Your mom is SO different now. I WAS the cupcake baking, 3 times a week church mom, who sent her kids to Christian school. Now Im the girl who loves the people. People who may have NEVER seen the inside a church... I thought for a while Id prefer to be that again, but I cant be. Funny story from last January. We had all went to Mucky Ducks, and when we got back, my boyfriends niece gets out the car, and says that her cousins wife told her, about me, That girl makes me think about Jesus. I was floored because I had JUST met her, only hung out and spent time smoking cigs with her. Never ONCE did I say anything about Jesus! She had never seen my FB or anything. Did make me think though... The Lord is the Spirit who gives them life, and where He is there is freedom from trying to be saved by keeping the laws of God. But we Christians have no veil over our faces; we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like Him. --2 Corinthians 3:17-18 (TLB) I just hope I can make a difference in someones life! If I can help just ONE person, itll all be worth it to me...
