† Remembering - Jan 12: ***2003 – Maurice Gibb, English singer-songwriter, guitarist, and producer (Bee Gees) (b. 1949) Maurice Ernest Gibb, CBE (/ˈmɔrɪs/ (22 December 1949 – 12 January 2003) was a musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer who achieved international fame as guitarist, bassist and keyboardist of the Bee Gees. Although his brothers Barry and Robin Gibb were the bands primary lead vocalists, most of the groups albums included at least one or two Maurice Gibb compositions, including Lay It on Me, Country Woman and On Time. The Bee Gees were one of the most successful rock-pop groups ever. Gibb died unexpectedly at the age of 53, on 12 January 2003 of a cardiac arrest, while waiting to undergo surgery for a twisted intestine. O:) ***2004 – Randy VanWarmer, American singer-songwriter and guitarist (b. 1955) Randy VanWarmer (March 30, 1955 – January 12, 2004) was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. His biggest success was the pop hit, Just When I Needed You Most. His final album was released posthumously only in Japan and was a tribute to Stephen Foster. According to the CDs liner notes, VanWarmer played all the instruments. The notes also indicate that he completed work on the record a few days after learning of his illness, and died one day prior to the anniversary of Fosters death, of leukemia, aged 48. She played Piedmont fingerstyle guitar. Bryant died January 12, 2013 in Columbus, Georgia following a six week battle with complications from diabetes and congestive heart failure. O:)
