Reminder: Please dont forget to pay the Sadqatul fitr on behalf of yourself and your family. It is an obligation on every household member, even on a new born. It serves several purposes amongst which is to act as an expiation for the short comings while we fasted and also an act of consideration for the underprivileged brothers and sisters and make them spend their Eid in a good way. The right way is to give food but if someone is buying stuff on your behalf than money can be given. Please note it is to be given before the Eid prayers so that it reaches those who are deserving and if paid later fails to serve its purpose. It is hardly an amount and should not be taken as a burden when Allah has provided us with so much througout the year that we dont even bother being considerate for those who are not fortunate enough to have them.
