Report .... Osun Traditional Ruler Burns To Death In Suspected Arson Case.. Reports reaching in indicate that on Wednesday, Oba Adesina Alobijuwon, the traditional ruler of Ilase-Ijesa in Obokun Local Government Council of Osun State, was set ablaze and burnt to death by a number of unidentified people inside his palace. Assailants allegedly stormed the 80-year-old rulers palace to have a talk with him about the community. The monarch was said to have lost his sight about eight years ago, which made it difficult for him to esape. His maid and her children had a narrow escape from death. A number of yet-to-be-named people paid the monarch a visit about 5 p.m. on Wendesday, but the maid told them he was resting. The assailants, who said they were members of Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), visited him again later, attacking the maid. Some time after they left, the house caught fire and burnt down to the ground. A traditional chief in the town, Chief Oluwagbemiga Oke, said the monarchs guests came with a pink-coloured Mazda car, adding, From what we were told, the house got burnt shortly after the people had left. Furthermore, an officer of the State Fire Service, Mr. Michael Ogundipe, ruled out the possibility of electric surge from the incident, saying that findings by his men have revealed that the case was arson. The State Police Commissioner, Mrs. Dorothy Gimba, confirmed the incident, saying that the commissioner has directed discrete investigation into the matter. My take .. Where is this world turning to?
