Reposting Amber Bowmans own words as well. Its all about respect. Just basic courtesy and dignity of respect for the loss of another. They should of stopped just for the funerals. There is something to be said for respect for the dead and modeling behavior that matches how you are demanding to be treated. These were not the officers that murdered the unarmed men they speak of...and ironically these also happen to be minority officers that were murdered. Its a chilling reminder of back in the late 60s-70s Black people used Black San Francisco Police Officers for shooting targets while others cheered them on. History tells that real change happens when you can get people that hold these positions of so called power to listen to you and convince them they have more in common with you the people than they think. Trampling around on a day they are and should be mourning the death of the officers will continue to antagonize and lose those who were initially starting to hear you out. Take care to listen closely when people protest. There is a difference between people who want change and people who want chaos --- unfortunately it requires reading between the lines. I am sorry but again much like Occupy... they have missed the mark. You dont ever want to look like Westboro Church...ever #alllivesmatter #officersforjustice #blacklivesmatter
