Reposting : Just a thought. Roughly 8 years ago the Government brought in there 50/50 shared care laws which I was unlucky enough to be a part of by only a few months. This has essentially created many situations where both parents are now eligible for Sole parents Pension - Where before only one of those parents would have been eligible. I wonder if this has created an economic social welfare blowout which the Government was not expecting, and could not afford?
