Reposting What I need to know is, is this logic sound? Are there any holes? How might you reword this? These fantastic vehicles of myth, legend, and folklore achieve the same goal. They make us question and search for the higher power. The God of Judaism and Christianity says in Jeremiah 29:13, You will search for me and you will find me provided you search with your whole heart. Joseph Campbell, George Lucas, and many others agree that there is a God. They believe that the seeker will find his or her god by their path and that all paths are true. They, like many philosophers, theologians, and mythologists would state that truth is individual and not absolute. However, the argument that truth is not absolute finds its truth in the absoluteness of that statement. Therefore, the argument against absolute truth disproves itself. Logically then, certain truths, if not all truths, are absolute. If truth is absolute, and we recognize a higher power, then the higher power is knowable. The claim that we will find God when we search with all of our hearts is therefore probable. If God is knowable, and we search out what can be known, then it is most likely that we will find God. Thoughts?
