Through ALEC, corporations hand state legislators their wishlists to benefit their bottom line. Corporations fund almost all of ALECs operations. They pay for a seat on ALEC task forces where corporate lobbyists and special interest reps vote with elected officials to approve “model” bills. He is Former ALEC State Chairman, 1996-2004 . A.L.E.C. has repeatedly stated throughout its existence that it does not want public education. Though it is a non profit educational organization, it has helped to pass many bills that are not related to education, and task forces that arent related either. They are also fighting against environmental policies and voters rights too. Lets get the corruption out of our government.
