Rescue Training December 6, 2014 Paul Murphy, Tec Diving Instructor, conducted an expanded Rescue Course today incorporating multiple scenarios beyond the standard course requirements. This video shows the participants removing Paul from the water to the boat deck and conducting emergency first response drills including providing oxygen. Accident scenarios also involved practicing use of an AED and safely transferring the victim to shore on a spinal injury board. Just as a scuba refresher is suggested after six months or longer out of the water, a Rescue refresher is beneficial in maintaining the needed skills when an emergency occurs.
