Rest secure in the Lord Deuteronomy 33:12 About Benjamin he said: ‘Let the beloved of the LORD rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the LORD loves rests between his shoulders.” A little boy went for a walk with his father at a hiking trail and was quite excited so he walked as fast as his little legs could carry him. Within a short time however, he grew weary and couldn’t keep up the pace with his father despite his determined efforts to push forward. The father then carried his son on his shoulders till the end of the trail. This happens to us in one way or another. We grow weary and feel we can no longer keep up or accomplish the task at hand. This should not discourage us because we have a Heavenly Father on whom we can rely on, who walks besides us and will carry us when we become weary. Remember, Jesus is our good Shepherd who takes care of us. He will joyfully carry us and in him we find rest and restoration. Today, ask the Savior to help you, comfort and strengthen you in whatever situation you may be going through. The God who holds the universe is the God who is holding you. Edson
