Resting place: Because you have not yet arrived at the place of rest, the land The Lord your God is giving you as your special possession (Deut. 12:9). The resting place mentioned here is Canaan for Israel. But where as in Heb. 4:9, Paul is telling, There is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. Here Paul is telling about the eternal resting place. Jesus have also quoted, Ill prepare a place for you for your eternal life. And will be back to take you along with me, to be with me forever. The real eternal life with rest is guaranteed for you, when you believe and accept Jesus Christ as your personal saviour. Trust The Lord our God Jesus Christ. Then you will be saved to inherit the internal life. There is also a resting period in this earthly life. Peaceful and restful life. God have placed it before you. All you need to do to inherit it is, to be rest at His feet. Dont worry about your problems. Never thing about the past. And dont afraid of he future. When you are going through or about to face a tough situation, dont afraid or worry about it. Sit at Gods feet. And find rest in His presence. His presence and His feet alone is a resting place in this problematic world. Beloved, rest at His feet. That is the only resting place for you in this world.
