Revelation 22:18-19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of This Book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in This Book: And if any man shall take away from the Words of the Book of This Prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the Holy City, and from the things which are written in This Book. People are changing the sense of the Scriptures. They are adding to and taking away from God’s Words. They are distorting the meaning of the Holy Scriptures. The warning should be preached from every pulpit that whoever distorts the Word will not enter the Holy City. It’s sad how so few are learning the inspired Words of the Book of God’s Prophecy from Genesis to Revelation. And even more sad, are those who are given to teaching their private interpretation. God says that plagues will follow all who add or take away from His Holy Word. We who love the Lord Jesus are looking for His coming, where the heavens will be on fire and they will dissolve. The elements shall melt with fervent heat. Then the new heavens and the new earth will come forth by God’s power! Only righteousness will dwell therein. Since we’re looking for such things, let’s beware lest we are led away with the error of the wicked. They misunderstand the Scriptures, being unlearned and unstable, and they wrest God’s Holy Word. Oh Lord, please have mercy upon them. Because they won’t grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, they wrest all the Scriptures unto their own destruction. (2 Peter 3:16) Seeing these things are evident in our times, right before our own eyes, what manner of persons ought we to be in all holy conversation and godliness! Prayerfully, dear saints, let us walk soberly and vigilantly as we live in expectation of being caught up together unto Heaven to be with our Lord Jesus Christ forevermore! Behold! He Cometh!
