Rhythm is a proud sponsor of this year’s Hit Like A Girl Contest, the international online female contest for drummers. Hit Like A Girl promotes and supports female drummers by spotlighting the enthusiasm and talent of girls and women drummers worldwide. With more than $20,000 in prizes and entrants from dozens of countries the Hit Like A Girl Contest has a big impact. But even if you don’t win one of the grand prizes, you’re still a winner. Every entrant will receive prizes from the contest. Entering is simple. There are two age categories: Under 18 and 18+. You just upload a 3-minute video of your playing, either by yourself, with a recording or with other musicians. fill out a short bio form and you’re entered. The contest kicked off on 24 January, 2014, but entry is open until 1 March and winners are not announced until April, so there’s still plenty of time.
