Ribadu, Wike, Ikpeazu, Udom, Folarin, Yero win PDP governorship tickets - DECEMBER 8, 2014 Among the early results to emerge as winners in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governorship primaries Monday were Nuhu Ribadu (Adamawa), Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom), Umar Nasko (Niger), Mukthar Yero (Kaduna), Gboyega Isiaka (Ogun), Aminu Ringim (Jigawa), Teslim Folarin (Oyo) Violence was reported in Lagos as thugs reportedly recruited by one of the aspirants harassed many Journalists and other stakeholders. Ringim who emerged in Jigawa and Nasko who won in Niger were until recently the chiefs of staff to the outgoing governors. In Oyo State, Senator Teslim Folarin emerged as the candidate after former Gov. Adebayo Alao-Akala, Seye Makinde and others boycotted the process. In Enugu, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and Senator Ayogu Eze emerged in parallel primaries conducted by different factions of the party.
