As a parent / friend of the college I would like it to be known that I totally oppose this, our college has been at the heart of our community for almost 50 years now and as records will show it has continually produced excellent exam results year in year out. Not only has our college educated our young people it has also served as a social hub for all age groups, religions and genders throughout these years. Our school numbers may have dropped but the real damage to our intake numbers came when our college was mentioned as closing when it was announced that St. Peters in Creggan would close, why would parents send their children to our college for a short time only to have them moved again?. I as a parent / friend of Immaculate Conception College have made it my choice to have my child/ren educated at this college but now higher authority will take our right away by closing our Catholic college. The CCMS / WELB & DENI should be ashamed by their apparent lack of responsibility to our college, our college has always be under advertised, I also feel some of the blame must be shared equally amongst our local primary schools and parents who for one reason or another have decided against our college. I want my opinion put on record “DO NOT CLOSE OUR COLLEGE, INVEST IN OUR COLLEGE, INVEST IN OUR CHILDREN”. Yours, Sincerely
