Risca officers and Risca Crime Prevention Panel attended Cwmcarn Scenic Drive yesterday where, despite the wet weather, a number of visitors purchased bike marking kits, enabling them to mark up their property with identifiable marks. Owners were also reminded to register their property on immobilise – the world’s largest free property register - and given the following crime prevention tips: Ensure all items of value are securely stored away out of site and ensure your home, sheds and outbuildings are kept protected with quality locks and alarms. Take photos of any items of value and keep a record of serial numbers - these are invaluable when returning lost/stolen items to their rightful owners.
