Roanoke is not bad for a small city. It is not as diversified as DC or Philly or NYC or Boston, but for a southern city, it can hold its own... Lee and I had a date day, a mini vacation. we ate Pho Ga at Pho Saigon (Vietnamese soup that is really good with noodles and fresh Asian veggies you add yourself at the table and chicken...) and then we went to the Transportation Museum and saw all the trains---HUUUUGE locomotives outside on the tracks and a nice museum inside with model trains and planes and old cars and cool stuff, and then we got an iced coffee at the only Dunkin Donuts for 150 miles and then we went to look at Jeep Patriots--which is the next car we want(dreaming!), and then on the way home we stopped at New York Pizza and each got a slice of cheese and a rootbeer. Lovely day!
